physical,sensory and neurological disabilities at a medium and high
level of need. We provide individualised supports to promote
wellbeing, independence and quality of life for all people who use our

Cork, Galway, Wicklow, Limerick, Donegal, Kerry, Carlow, Waterford,
Sligo and Mayo.

Ardeen Cheshire Home provides a friendly, cooperative and positive

THE ROLE

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Operating out of a social model of disability you will have assist in
the assessment, planning , delivery and evaluation of the care
required to meet the physical, psychological and social needs of
individuals with physical and neurorological disabilities. Duties
include but are not linimted to;

* Provide clinical and professional support to the frontline care
support teams
* Encourage excellence and promote evidence based practice
* Maintain clinical records and documentation, including care plans
and the management of clinical risk.
* Engage with external and internal stakeholders such as medical and
allied healthcare professionals and Cheshire Ireland clinical team.
* Actively contribute to ongoing improvements in the quality of care
in line with organisational policy, best practice and regulatory
standards
* Deliver training as relevant to your role and participate in the
development and implementation of policies
* Commitment to your own personal and proffesional development
* Develops open, honest and respectful relationships with others and
fosters good working relationships within the team
* At all times handles information confidentially and in line with
data protection requirements.
* A committment to the provision of quality services and to the
concept of working in partnership with service users to promote their
indpendence.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

?Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate;

* In possession of a nursing qualification and registered with An
Bord Altranais
* A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
* Have experience within the disabiltiy or broad social services
field, and an awareness of HIQA
* Evidence based decision making skills
* Mentoring and line management skills
* Excellent computer skills especially in Microsoft Excel and
Outlook, and the ability to adapt to changing technology
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and
written
* In possession of the necessary documentation to work and live in
the Republic of Ireland
* Ability to speak and write English fluently

This role provide care and support to individuals living in a
residential service and you will be required to establish and maintain
relationships with individuals with disabilities that are based on
respect and equality and that promote their independence.
